Don’t waste time sorting your clothes - I'll make sure they are distributed efficiently!

Keep your items with major stains or tears and use them as free cloths for dirty work around your house! Everything else can be put to good use, even items with minor stains and tears.

 How to Drop Off:

Don't worry about sorting them. Drop them off in the North end of Barrie at [coming soon] in the black bin in the entrance. 

You can drop them off at your convenience during these times: [coming soon]. There is no need to check in with anyone.

 Where Your Items Go:

Your items will be sorted and everything with minor flaws will be stored and donated to:

 * Direct to encampment handouts though [coming soon]

 * Organizations for free food handouts through [coming soon]

 * The Busby Centre

These organizations have limited storage and can't always take all seasons all year round. I will store off-season items and distribute them according to the season and requests.

In turn, I sell many to most of the items in great condition on Poshmark and Whatnot to fund the time to run this mission-driven business.

 Why Choose Uschi Owl?

While I do not discourage donating to thrift stores, especially the volunteer-run ones, my goal is to help ensure that decent, functional clothing gets directly into the hands of the most vulnerable in our community when they need it. 

​Traditional donation centers are often overwhelmed with sorting. Because they have limited space, items that aren't "retail perfect"  may get sent to textile recyclers or shipped out of the community.

When you drop off to me, I do the sorting and storing of these items so they get to the people who need them most.

 What I Accept:

 * Clothing with minor stains and small rips.

 * Machine washable items only that have a slight musty smell from storage (I'll wash it with baking soda and vinegar).

 * New Items: You're more than welcome to donate new Socks, Underwear, Bras, and New Hygiene and Medical Safety Products to be donated directly.

 Please do NOT donate:

 * Food and drinks.

 * Household items.

 * Used, opened, or expired hygiene or medical safety items.

 * Heavily stained or ripped items.

* Smelly items that aren't machine washable.
